Hola a todos!
It was my first Christmas in the mission, away from home,
and in another country, so Christmas was a lot different! But needless to say,
I ate a lot. We had more eating citas then we could deal with, so we ate very
well this Christmas. It was really cool seeing how another country celebrates
Spain and how it is different than the way America celebrates it. Instead of
opening presents on Christmas day, Spaniards stay up on Christmas Eve and open
them then. So very different!
This week we taught a family from Paraguay, and they are
mourning the loss of a family member. Although sad, I can't wait to teach them
the lesson on the Plan of Salvation and teach them that it is sad to lose
family members, but because of Jesus Christ and through the Plan of Salvation,
we will see them again. It brings me much joy that I will be able to see family
after this life. Grandparents, great grandparents, ancestors from hundreds of
years ago, I mean George Washington??? I don't know how it will be like. But I
do know we will see family members after this life because of this Plan of
Happiness. How great is that!?
I hope you have all had a great Christmas, and I wish you
all a very happy new year! Until next week!
